With over 30,000 un-adopted sites across the UK, JLES have developed our Adoption Management System to support developers with any backlog schemes they still have on their books. Our key aim is to provide our clients with a ‘lump sum, fixed fee’ quotation to secure maintenance/adoption of each scheme, including all required technical, legal, consultancy and remedial works. We are a specialist in the adoption/vesting of highways (section 38, 278 or 111), sewers (Section 102, 104 or 185), Pump Stations and Public Open Space.
The NHBC commissioned Cambridge University to conduct a study to investigate the uk adoptions process and why it is often ineffective. Cambridge university then called upon members of the JLES team to help them understand the realistic extent of the issue.

JLES would engage in Open Space project works on the clients behalf to bring the site up to adoptable standards before co-ordinating legal departments for the quick transfer of the site to the Local Authority.
JLES can arrange for the land ownership to be transferred to a third party, a land management company, which would take over the liabilities and maintenance of the site in perpetuity. This could either take the form of a single commuted sum or via a resident led scheme.
