Is JLES an adoption consultancy?

JLES is not an adoption consultancy, although we will provide expert advice, we are a specialist contractor who act as the main contractor on your projects to complete any technical, remedial, or legal works.

This transparent process ensures that our clients have clarity and confidence in our invoicing structure.

At what point can we start to use your services?

Although we undertake all legacy adoptions from site completions to sites 40 years old, our post build /estate completion service can be used during the construction process with JLES acting as your main contractor and managing agent to ensures phases are completed to the adoption standard during build period.

With nearly two decades of collaboration with Local Authorities, we have forged a strong relationship built on trust and competence. Our approach involves efficiently handling all required paperwork and liaising with relevant parties to expedite the approval and certification process.

What type of section agreements do JLES deal with?

In accordance with the Highways Act 1980, JLES is proficient in managing the following:

• Section 38: Highway Adoption
• Section 37: Retrospective Highway Adoption
• Section 278: Alterations to Existing Public Highway
• Section 228: Dedications

Under the Wastewater Industry Act 1991, our expertise extends to dealing with:
• Section 104: Sewer/Pump Station Adoption

As part of the adoption package, do you also deal with legal easements?

We have a dedicated Legal department that specialise in facilitating / resolving any legal agreement, deed of easement or legal hindrance associated with an adoption.

As part of the adoption package do you also deal with Sustainable urban drainage (SuD'S)?

We deal with sustainable urban drainage easements (SUDS) and will manage the transfer of land to local councils or our trusted 3rd party management partners.  

Do you deal with other types of infrastructure works?

Yes, we support all our clients with bespoke projects. Our teams have experience working with all fascists of infrastructure and would be happy to review any new build construction or civil engineering projects.
