Main Engineer Quote:

The Morning Star Road project was a tricky one due to the intensive resident liaison required to ensure the parking of cars was kept off the highway for the duration of the works, this wasn’t helped by the lack of space on site to manoeuvre.

A particular obstacle on site which I have never come across, was that on the morning of the works start date, one of the areas where we were excavating the service verge and replacing with full footpath construction, a water leak had occurred and was threatening to delay our works programme, however, I contacted Anglian Water immediately and organised an onsite meeting. Once the meeting had taken place Anglian Water were quick to attend site and rectify the problem so that it did not impact our works programme.

I’m very pleased to finally see this development adopted and I’m sure the developer and Northamptonshire County Council; are too!”
