JLES provided a lump sum, fixed fee Post Adoption Build Package to undertake required final surfacing and adoption enabling works on this multi-phase legacy scheme. JLES undertook required health and safety report, street lighting, white lining, as built, traffic management, road sweep and gully clean, installation of rumble strips, street name plates, CCTV drainage surveys and manhole remediation works necessary to achieve adoption.
The works duration for all 3 phases totalled 6 months and included ongoing extensive resident liaison. The relating S38 bond was reduced by Durham County Council within 4 weeks of completion despite JLES having to complete a Deed of Variation to the Section 38 Agreement.
